The Gala Committee has made every effort to catalog and correctly describe the property or service being sold at auction. Summer Stages Dance at Concord Academy and members of the Gala Committee make no warranty or guarantee and assume no responsibility for the market value, validity of the description, authenticity, or condition of any item offered.
By his or her purchase, the buyer waives any claims for liability against Summer Stages Dance at Concord Academy, members of the Gala Committee and the donor of the property or services. Summer Stages Dance at Concord Academy, members of the Gala Committee and donors are not responsible for any personal injuries or damages that may result from use of property or services sold at auction.
The Gala Committee reserves the right to withdraw any item at any time before the actual sale and to reject a bid from any bidder.
Goods and services purchased must be used within one year of the date of the auction unless otherwise specified. It is the buyer’s responsibility to contact the donor or designated representative to arrange for services. Dates and times are to be arranged at the mutual convenience of the donor and the buyer.
Restrictions may apply to gift certificates.
All resort bookings and private vacation homes are offered to families, to adults, or to minors accompanied by adults. Unless otherwise specified, no alcoholic beverages or gratuities are included in the meal, restaurant and resort donations.
All sales are final. All items and services are being donated and sold “as is” and no refunds or exchanges will be made unless otherwise specified.
Full payment must be made on the night of the auction.
Payment may be made by cash, check, MasterCard, or Visa.
Checks must be made out to Summer Stages Dance at Concord Academy.
LIVE AUCTION RULES
You may enter a bid by raising your numbered bid card and being acknowledged by the auctioneer.
The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer will be the purchaser. In the event of any dispute between bidders, the auctioneer will have sole and final discretion either to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and resell the article in dispute.
As the auctioneer announces the item “SOLD”, title to the article will pass to the highest bidder who thereupon assumes full risk and responsibility for payment.
All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds except where otherwise specified.
SILENT AUCTION RULES
A bid is entered by printing your name and bid number and amount of bid on the sheet in front of the corresponding item. Bids below minimum will not be accepted.
Bids should be in whole numbers and must be equal to or exceed the minimum bid stated on the Silent Auction Bid Sheet.
Succeeding bids must exceed the previous bid by the minimum raise stated on the Bid Sheet. Submitted bids cannot be retracted.
Announcements will be made regarding the closing of the silent auction.
The highest valid bid at the close of the silent auction will be circled by a silent auction attendant and will constitute the winning bid.
In the event of a dispute, the auctioneer will have sole discretion to determine the successful bidder.
