Summer Stages Dance is in residence at Concord Academy, an independent secondary school where the arts are an important part of the curriculum. Workshop classes take place in the Student Health and Athletic Center, designed by renowned architect Graham Gund and featuring a 2,500 square foot, state-of-the-art dance studio. Public performances take place at Concord Academy’s recently-renovated 400-seat Performing Arts Center. Boarding students are housed in the historic landmark mansions that serve as dormitories for Concord Academy, with full meal service available. Workshop participants also have access to a full range of fitness facilities including cardiovascular and strength training equipment, music practice rooms, swimming pool, tennis and squash courts, and canoeing.

Concord Academy is located in Concord, Massachusetts, a picturesque New England town 35 minutes from Boston by car or train and two miles from Walden Pond. Birthplace of the Revolutionary War and the Transcendentalist Movement, Concord was home to many notable literary figures including Hawthorne, Emerson, Thoreau and the Alcotts. The town offers a variety of museums, shops, restaurants, historical sites, parks and recreational facilities; in their free time students can also take advantage of the many historical and cultural attractions in Boston and other surrounding communities.
